Walk-athon Preparation

Windrush Family and Friends UK Walkathon

The 4th of July Walkathon is the Windrush Family and Friends UK 4th fundraising event which
supports vulnerable children aged 0-18 in Children’s Homes in Jamaica, our project is called “Baby Don’t Worry About A Thing”.

Our aim:

•       Contribute towards the refurbishment of the baby room in Glenhope Nursery in Kingston Jamaica. We send all funds raised to a charity called International Proxy Parents based in Jamaica and they organise the giving so all money is accounted for and spent on the children directly.

•       We want to raise awareness amongst our family and friends of what we are doing, why we are doing it and how they can get involved.

•       This event is in order to help us all take on a personal challenge and reach a personal walking goal during this time of pandemic as well as to raise funds. This means you can walk as far as you like with an aim to that relates to you.

•       People will be walking in their local area at the same day at the same time. Please send pictures and information to us and we will add it the website and our social media platforms
