Sensory Mirrors Fundraised For Glenhope Baby Room

Windrush Family and Friends UK

As part of the Windrush Family and Friends UK ongoing project “Baby Don’t Worry About  thing” we are raising funds to by important equipment for Glenhope Nursery Baby room in Kingston.

We send all funds raised to the charity International Proxy Parents Jamaica who have bought one of the mirrors with several now on order.

The standing mirror bought will be used in the classroom with the older children as a teaching tool where they can see their appearance, see how they are changing as they grow. Wall mounted ones will be added as the supplier sends them through.

The play mats will form part of the floor surface in the baby room to encourage the babies and toddlers to explore their environment and learn to crawl and walk safely.

The baby bath was donated by a grandmother, the children’s washing facilities are very basic.

The rest of the equipment are pampers and wipes that we have sent over to add to daily use in the nursery.

These are all much needed basic child development equipment that will aid the wellbeing of the children.

Thank you everyone for your contributions.
